Creative conference starts in Preston on Monday

Preston is gearing up for Open09, a conference about creativity and innovation that will take place on the 16th and 17th of November.

The organisers hope to use social networking tools to spread information on how the conference is progressing in real time.

There will be a series of networking events, or ‘turtles’, at several locations in Preston, where the future of the media will be discussed.

Several postgraduate journalism students at UCLAN will be covering the event online, including me.
